From the same group that gave us some of the best barbecue experiences we've had with our family comes Rackshack, the newest BBQ concept for the hip, the young, and the young at heart!
Located at Level 5, The Sky Park at SM Aura Premier, Rackshack easily becomes the perfect hangout and meetup place for barkadas who just want to chill, enjoy good barbecues, and have a bottle or two of beer. They even get to play a round of foosball, beer pong, board games, and more, because Rackshack just wants you to have a good time. Always.
What sets Rackshack apart from its big brother is that it lets its diners go wild and crazy when it comes to what they eat. Here, you get to mix-and-match and decide which dish you want to get with whichever side. And you can do these in three easy steps!
STEP ONE: Choose your meats
The star of the show would always be Rackshack's meat, and if you're coming with friends, it's best to order their Groupie Platter which comes with 4 servings of rice. It's served on a wooden tray, and you get to enjoy their Texas Hot Link, Pulled Pork, and Pork Ribs, which are all ridiculously good and flavorful already sans the sauce!
If you're one to order individually, though, you may do so as they also serve these meats by the plate and with a choice of either garlic or steamed rice.
While they're famous mainly for the ribs, you shouldn't underestimate their Crack Fried Chicken. It's crispy and peppery, much like Racks' fried chicken but with their own "Rackshack twist."
For the seafood lovers, their Creole Garlic Shrimp should be on your must-tries. Drenched in a sauce made of different herbs and spices, this dish perfectly goes with a bottle of Engkanto beer on your nights out.
STEP TWO: Choose your sides (and appetizers!)
Rackshack's dishes are all inspired by cuisines from all over the world, and one of the best ways to taste how Japan or Mexico influenced their dishes is through their side dishes. All priced at P65, you get to pick one or two – maybe even one of everything! – side dishes that you could enjoy with your barbecue.
Need some appetizers to share with your food buddies? Make sure to get the Ridiculous Nachos which has a little bit of everything! It's got onion rings, sausages, and more, drizzled with nacho cheese and their tangy Carolina Gold sauce. You can also try their Street Corn Salad, a Mexican salad dish made with butter, mayonaisse, and herbs, served with tortilla chips.
STEP THREE: Choose your sauce
Because they want you to have fun and be the adventurous foodie you are, Rackshack also introduces 5 different kinds of sauce you can try with your meat of choice. There's the Mother Sauce, Rackshack's mild and sweet blend, Spicy Mother Sauce for those who love a bit of heat, Hoisin Sauce with bursts of Asian flavors, the sweet and tangy Carolina Gold, and the Kansas Sauce which is a fusion of the sweet and the spicy.
If one sauce isn't enough for your adventurous taste buds, you can always try mix and matching these sauces until you get the perfect flavor! We're crossing our fingers that they offer their bottled sauces for sale since we can't wait to put them on everything we're eating.
For the ones with the sweet tooth, make sure to end your meal with Rackshack's Brownie Smores. It's fudge brownie and marshmallows, topped with marshmallows and drizzled with just the right amount of caramel and chocolate fudge for extra sweetness.
