When in San Juan and in search for the next best place to spend the night out with your barkada, look no further than District 8 Manila, the newest gastropub which takes up the whole second floor of G-Strip in Greenhills, San Juan.
Co-owned by Daniel Padilla, Vice Ganda, James Yap, Paul Artadi, Marc Pingris, Charlton Yu, Francis Zamora, and Chef Kel Zaguirre, District 8 is the biggest restaurant in G-Strip as it can accommodate 140 diners. They also have an al fresco areas and a private room which could sit more people.
This is the place to be for those who are into pubs inspired by those you'd find in New York with its rustic interiors made even artsier by the colorful murals you'd find inside. The pub also plays host to live acoustic nights, so not only will people get to enjoy their specialty cocktails, they also get to chill and listen to some good music.
District 8's menu is created by Chef Kel Zaguirre, who is also the mind behind the dishes of Locavore. The result? A variety of dishes that features the flavors of different cuisines.
