Carb lovers can now get their fix in the form of modern sushi, specialty pizzas, and DIY dishes in this newly opened restaurant in Taguig.
Rice & Dough Sushi and Pizza Bar offers assorted modern sushi and specialty pizzas, and comfort food across different cuisines. As its name implies, two carb options await: rice and dough. For rice lovers, they offer playful sushi creations, unique takes like the Truffled Bacon Cheeseburger Sushi made with mini bacon cheeseburgers in between sushi rice, then drizzled with truffle oil. They even have flaming sushi called World War Roll, which has soft shell crab, kani, unagi, tuna, and shrimp togarashi. Crispy sushi in pocket form is also available in their Perfect Catch: raw salmon and cream cheese rolled over panko crumbs, golden fried topped with bonito flakes and unagi aioli cream.
For pizza lovers, their chewy pizzas come in 11 flavors, which feature a special dough recipe using imported ingredients. If sushi in this restaurant is modern and quirky, the pizza lineup takes a more classic approach. The Tartufata is topped with peppers, parmesan, and truffle oil; Funghi is a mushroom pizza of shitake, button mushrooms, and gorgonzola; while Prosciuttina comes with toppings of green bell peppers, prosciutto, and brie.
Want to play chef and get creative with your carb cravings? The restaurant offers you the freedom to customize rice and dough with their DIY Sushi and DIY Pizza. A sushi or pizza sheet is given to the customer who wants the DIY experience, and one just has to fill up the sheet with preferred fillings, toppings, and add-ons–you can even name your sushi if you want. Aside from sushi and pizza, Rice & Dough also offers assorted appetizers, main courses where one can choose your type of carb (rice or risotto), and breakfast food.
