Johnny Kahuku's Hawaiian Shrimphouse is another homegrown food concept under the mother company of the Red Crab Group of Restaurants, and it recently celebrated its grand opening at the Newport Mall in Resorts World Manila.
Johnny Kahuku's promises its diners a 'shrimpalicious' experience, so shrimps abound their menu: have it as appetizers in Gourmet Shrimp and Squid Takoyaki (P323), Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail (P365), or Volcanic Gambas (P329); they also offer an Oriental Shrimp Salad (P295) and shrimp-loaded pastas like Kung Pao Shrimp Linguine (P395), Thai Shrimp Spaghetti (P395) and Extreme Garlic Shrimp Egg Noodles (P315). For a shrimpalicious feast, try their selection of Bucket of Shrimps or The Shrimp Truck, all items good for 2-3 persons per order.
Other seafood are put on the spotlight in the restaurant: their crab selection is extensive and can be ordered by bucket/weight, and you choose the style of how it will be cooked, like Butter Ginger Crab, Black Pepper Spice, and Singaporean Chili Crab; Oysters and Hawaiian Poke are also featured in many variants and flavors. Other comfort food meals include rice bowls and meals like Hawaiian favorite Loco Moco Special (P399), bibimbaps, paella, BBQ platters and other meaty entrees, and a selection of hearty sandwiches.
