Mövenpick Hotel Cebu Partners with Gawad Kalinga

Manny O. Group pledges up to P20M for communities in Leyte, Samar and Northern Cebu.

Manny O. Group Founder and Chairman Manny H. Osmena and Gawad Kalinga Founder and Chairman Tony Meloto have met and forged a partnership to respond to the needs of our countrymen who lost their homes, loved ones and livelihood in the Yolanda storm.

In partnership with GAWAD KALINGA, the MANNY O. GROUP is committing to rebuild communities with livelihood programs in Leyte, Samar and Cebu with a pledge of up to P20M in donation.

Called the “Yolanda Rebuid Program” of the Mövenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu, the Manny O. Group commits to donate 80 percent of its room revenue proceeds in a “special sale” for room certificates purchased between November 15 to 24, 2013.

Manny Osmena is inviting fellow Filipinos who want to support the rebuilding efforts by purchasing room certificates that they can use or give as gifts, these certificates are valid for 6 months until May 31, 2014 and can be use by making reservations within the period. Yolanda Rebuild Program Donors will get a special rate starting at P6,000/night with breakfast for two (80% – P4,800 will go to Gawad Kalinga).

Meloto said, “The partnership of Gawad Kalinga with Mövenpick Cebu’s Yolanda Rebuild Program is a celebration of hope – that we can rise together from the worst of calamities through miracles of solidarity.”
