Fried chicken lovers, we got good news for you!

Fried chicken lovers, we got good news for you!

Taiwan's most popular chicken cutlet chain Monga is finally here in the Phillippines, and its first branch just opened yesterday at SM Megamall! Now, you get to taste its famous fried chicken, which is popular for its thick slice and crispy coating that's impossible for anyone to resist.

The design of the restaurant takes after the look of the night markets of Taiwan

Located at the Lower Ground Level of SM Megamall, Monga is a brand created y Taiwanese artist and comedian Nono, who was very hands-on to make sure that the first branch here in the Philippines will stay true to the restaurant's signature look and taste.

Here's your first look at the newly-opened restaurant:

The King
Taiker

If it's your first time trying Monga, definitely make sure to put their fried chicken cutlets on top of your list of dishes to try. They are known for their signature 2-inch thick chicken fillets which are marinated with honey, dipped in batter, and fried to perfection.  The result is a thick, crispy, and juicy piece of chicken that's hefty enough to last you for a while.

You can get their fried chicken in three different flavors: The King (Single: P189; with Rice: P199), a classic one seasoned with salt and pepper; Taiker (Single: P189; with Rice: P199), which is drizzled with Japanese sauce and sprinkled with Seaweed Powder; and Hot Chick (Single: P189; with Rice: P199), which has homemade chili powder seasoning it.

Chee-Z Signature

Like it cheesy? Go for Monga's Chee-Z Signature (Single: P209; with Rice: P229), which is basically either their Original or Spicy fried chicken topped with tomato sauce, cheese, and special chili.

Fried Broccoli

Monga also offers a variety of side dishes to go with their fried chicken. There's their Signature Fries (P88) and Seaweed Fries (P88)Taiwanese Style Popcorn Chicken (P169), or a healthier alternative – their Fried Broccoli (P90).
