If you haven’t felt it yet, days are getting warmer and warmer. Summer is definitely right around the corner. And what better way to feel refreshed than Sebastian’s Ice Cream‘s new summer flavors?
For the first time ever, the ice cream shop is unveiling its Summer of Sebastian’s where they will be debuting new flavors monthly from March until April. For March, they are offering all things Fro-Ya which is a sherbet made from our favorite childhood drink, Yakult. It was a hit when it was first introduced in 2010 so they decided to bring it back — it has a yogurt-like flavor and great to pair with fruit.
Fruity Fro-Ya Series
The first flavor is Mango Fro-Ya (P135/scoop; P405/pint) which is a personal favorite. They use fresh local mangoes and turn it into a Mango Sorbet which they swirl into the Fro-Ya mixture.
Next is for the strawberry lovers. Sebastian’s believes that the first fruit that comes to mind when thinking of ice cream is strawberries so they made a Strawberry Fro-Ya (P135/scoop; P405/pint). They only use fresh and real strawberries for this!
Last but not least, the Blueberry Fro-Ya (P135/scoop; P405/pint) which may not be a Filipino fruit but we have loved it as well. Just like the strawberry sorbet, they use fresh blueberries for the sorbet and layer it in the fro-ya.
Ice Cream Of The Month
On top of the Fro-Ya series, there’s also the Ice Cream Cake of the Month which is a Dark Chocolate Decadence Ice Cream Cake (P155/slice; P1,650/whole). It has layers of freshly baked chocolate cake, Dark Chocolate ice cream garnished with chocolate-covered potato chips, popcorn, and pretzels. If you think it’s already overloaded, they top it off with nut praline and a dark chocolate drizzle. This is definitely a treat for anyone who loves a rich, salty, and sweet dessert.
