PizzaExpress is bringing home familiar Asian flavors to your palate, one pizza slice at a time. The franchise is taking some Asian favorites from the PizzaExpress outlets overseas and bringing them to Manila!

PizzaExpress has been changing up the many ways we can enjoy pizza at home ever since the metro found itself in quarantine last year. For instance, their DIY pizza kits can make you feel like a chef at home, while their plant-based pizzas give vegans more options for meatless feasts. Even pre-pandemic, pizza’s been synonymous with food delivery, so offering something new to pizza lovers once in a while is definitely a treat for any pizza-holic.

This time, PizzaExpress brings in flavors from Singapore, China, and Indonesia. These pizzas have been selected from the current menus of PizzaExpress branches abroad to be featured in Manila’s own menu. There are different kinds of Asian-inspired pizzas to choose from! Here’s a peek into all five pizzas:
Laksa Pizza
This pizza is a ‘dry’ interpretation of the Iconic Singaporean noodle soup. The spicy pizza is topped with an assortment of seafood: shrimp, mussels, clams, squid, as well as quail eggs. Cilantro adds some freshness to it, and the squeeze of lemon balances out the spice and seafood taste.
Peking Duck Pizza
On the other hand, if you like to skip the spice, this pizza is for you. The Peking Duck has a sweeter flavor profile. But it comes with a single piece of chili in case you want to amp the heat! Strips of house-roasted Peking-style duck top the pizza, along with spring onion and cucumber. The hoisin sauce is distinct in every bite. This pizza also skips on the usual tomato sauce as base.
